Instructions for transport and installation
The following general safety rules apply for transport
and installation:
– Before transporting the device to its location of
use, secure it accordingly.
– To transport the device, always use the transport
castors provided.

Instructions for operation

The following safety rules apply for operation:
– The device must only be operated by persons
who have been properly instructed in its opera-
tion.
– Do not modify, dismantle or disable safety de-
vices. The safety devices must be inspected at
regular intervals.
– All guards, covers and hoods must be correctly
installed.
– Do not make structural modifications to the de-
vice.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
information
The following safety rules apply during maintenance
and when troubleshooting:
– Maintenance and troubleshooting tasks must be
performed by suitably qualified persons only.
– Before commencing work, shut down the device
and disconnect it from the power socket.

Operating conditions

The device is intended for operation in well ventilat-
ed rooms or for outdoor use. The level of air humidi-
ty can rise significantly in closed rooms. The device
operates efficiently:
– within the specified temperature and humidity
range, see Technical details
– in well ventilated rooms or outdoors.

NOTICE
Optimum cooling performance and room
temperature
In small rooms, the air humidity may significantly
increase with the operation of the device. For opti-
mum efficiency, operate the device within the oper-
ating ranges specified in the Technical details
The following conditions and safety rules must al-
ways be adhered to:
– The device, including the power cord and control
panel, must be completely dry before switch-on.
– Handle the device with care. Do not drop or
throw the device, and do not transport it unse-
cured. Handle the device with care once the tank
has been filled.
– Place the device in an upright position and en-
sure that it cannot topple over.
– Ensure proper air circulation around the device
(clearance in front of air inlet and outlet min.

– Do not cover the device during operation.
– Do not place the device in puddles or stagnant
water. If the device or its power cord have be-
come wet, dry the components thoroughly before
starting the device.
– Make sure that the device does not suck in oil,
grease or other contaminants and is kept at a
sufficient distance from any sources of heat.
– Do not drill through the cooling pads and do not
insert any sharp objects through the air intake
grille.
– Connect the device to a power mains with a
voltage that corresponds to the one specified on
the type plate.
– Only use extension cables that meet the perfor-
mance data on the type plate, as there is other-
wise a risk of overload.
– Connect the device to a power socket that is
earthed or protected by an integrated earth leak-
age circuit breaker.
– The device must not be operated by persons
under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medica-
tion.
– Use only original spare parts or parts approved
by the manufacturer.
If the device is operated under inadmissible condi-
tions, its operational safety and performance might
be impaired. Inadmissible operating conditions must
therefore be avoided at all times.
The device must not be used in rooms with explo-
sive atmospheres. Operation of the device in rooms
with an oily, sulphurous or saline atmosphere, or in
rooms with high levels of solvents or extreme con-
centrations of dust is prohibited.
