GETTING STARTED
Using the Limetree BRIDGE as a CD player
By connecting a CD-ROM drive (e.g. Apple USB SuperDrive), you
can turn your Limetree BRIDGE into a top-class CD player. The
connected drive is recognized and the CD will be read. In the app
an icon for the CD drive will open.
Setting of the output sample rate and re-sampling mode
Before operating the Limetree BRIDGE one first needs
DIGITAL
to ascertain the maximum sample rate which the con-
nected digital input can handle. According to this value the limit of
the output sample rate is set. This will also depend on the connec-
tion type. Coax cables can transfer up to 192 kHz, TOS-Link cables
only 96 kHz. Some older D/A converters can process only up to 48
kHz. In the LINDEMANN app you will find the setting under Settings
> Device settings > Output samplerate limit.
The Limetree BRIDGE offers two different re-sampling strategies:
Native Mode and Up-sampling Mode. In the Native Mode the digital
signal is output in the same sample rate as the original whenever
possible. With a limitation to 48 or 96 kHz, a down-sampling pro-
cess by means of a division by 2 or 4 is used for higher input sam-
ple rates. In the Up-sampling Mode the digital signal will always
