Installation Instructions HBL / HBLE / HBS
• Do not throw or step on HBL / HBLE / HBS, or
pull on the cable loops.
• The slider should not be pried out or broken.
• Wear appropriate personal safety equipment
when mounting.
When installing the HBL / HBLE / HBS,
care must be taken to ensure that the
rope loops are hanging vertically and
are not compressed by the reinforcement
bars.

Positioning
Position the HBL / HBLE / HBS according to the «Layout plan»
for the shaft ceilings. In the case of several HBL / HBLE / HBS,
maintain minimum distances between rope loops (page 3,
HBL /HBLE Instructions for Use, Images 2a and 2b. The same
mini mum distances apply for the HBS and for the HBL.)
Mounting
a. When using wooden forms:
• Hammer in housing nails (3) before slider nails (4).
b. When using metal forms:
• Remove nails.
• Affix HBL / HBLE / HBS with adhesive tape (l) or glue (ll).
Verification
• That the HBL / HBLE / HBS is level and solidly placed
against the concrete surface.
• That cable loop distance h is in the range
h = 140 mm – 145 mm (with HBL both cable loops).
• That there are no open cracks between the concrete
surface and the bottom edge of HBL / HBLE / HBS.
Encasing in concrete
• If a concrete vibrator is used, avoid direct contact with the
HBL / HBLE / HBS.
Uncovering the concrete ceilings
• After dismantling formwork, remove the protrudingbox and
slider nails.
• Pry out slider and push the cable loops into the vertical
position.
The rope loops are ready to be loaded only
once the concrete has hardened and cured to
the strength of C 20/25 (Fc' = 25 MPa).
