4. Use
HBL (2 rope loops)
Each of the cable loops of the HBL can bear 1400 kg load at an angle
of up to 15° to in the vertical (Image 1a, 1b). As a protective measure, a
loop can also bear the load of another HBL (Image 1c). If both cable
loops are meant to be used together for a single load, an appropriate
certified load hook, for instance with a yoke, should be used (Image 1d).
• The cable loops of the same HBL should not be used as
load protection for each other.
For load protection, a second HBL is always required
(Image 1c).
• The HBL should only be mounted and
used by competent professionals.
• Using both cable loops on a single load
hook is not permissible.
HBL positioning
During installation, a distance to other suspension points of
≥ Scr = 410 mm (cable loop to cable loop) must be maintained (image
2a) to guarantee the full load capacity of the cable loops. A distance to
an open slab edge of ≥ Ccr = 205 mm must be maintained.
The minimum thickness of the concrete ceiling is 150 mm.
If different Hitch Boxes are placed adjacent, the minimum
rope loop distance of the Hitch Box with the bigger load
capacity has to be considered (Image 2a and 2b).
HBLE positioning
HBLE1250 or HBLE1100 when used as pair (2 x HBLE1250 or
2 x HBLE1100) the boxes can be placed with reduced distances Smin.
Scr and Ccr remain unchanged (Image 2b).

The HBLE may be turned 90°and placed in that position if the minimum
distances (Smin, Ccr, Scr) are maintained.
The minimum thickness of the concrete ceiling is 150 mm.
The cable loops of the HBL / HBLE have an 8-mm diameter. In order to
preserve their load capacity and eliminate premature damage, the load
hooks' radii of curvature must measure at least ≥ 6 mm (Image 3).
