4. Turn off the power supply for the swimming pool filtration system, stop the backflow end of the pool with
a plug, and close the valve of the filtration system to ensure that no water flows out when disconnecting
the hose from the backflow end of the pool.
Close the backflow end of the pool with plug
5. Disconnect the flexible hose from the backflow end, and remove all the fitting and unions there
Disconnect the flexible hose
6. Screw the union with threads on both ends into the backflow port and then connect Port D of the four-
way valve to union with threads on both ends. Teflon tape should be used to prevent water leakage.

Close the valve of the filtration system
Remove all fittings and unions
