APPLICATION / COMMISSIONING
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
1.
Plug the power cord into the IEC socket of the device and the other end into a power
outlet. The „PWR" LED lights up.
2.
Connect an RJ45 cable from the switch to the Ethernet port of the powered device.
3.
If necessary, insert an (optional) fi ber optic module, e.g. InLine® artikel 32335M,
32335N or 32335O, into the corresponding module slot.
4.
Connect an (optional) fi ber optic cable with LC plug to the (optional) SFP module of
the switch.
Suitable fi ber optic modules are InLine® products 32335M InLine SFP
Module Fiber SX 850NM with LC sockets, 550m, 1.25Gbps,
32335O InLine® SFP Module Fiber LX 1310nm singlemode with LC so-
ckets, 10km or 1.25Gbps or 32335N InLine SFP Module Fiber LX 1310NM with LC
sockets, 20km, 1.25Gbps.
If you connect a device that does not support PoE, the switch will not supply
power to this device, but will continue to supply data packets. This feature
allows you to easily mix PoE-compatible and non-PoE-compatible devices
on your network.
5.
Make sure the connected device is turned on. If it still does not work, make sure all
Ethernet cables are properly connected.
INSTALLATION IN THE RACK
1.
Fasten the supplied mounting brackets to each side of the switch using the screws
also supplied
2.
Tighten the screws
3.
After attaching the mounting brackets to the switch, screw them to the rack using
suitable screws
