Install the HP DesignJet PostScript Upgrade
CAUTION
In order to use the PostScript upgrade, your printer should have at least 32M of
memory. If you select Utilities and then Statistics on the printer's front panel, the line
will show how much memory your printer has.
"RAM present"
Before installing the PostScript upgrade, make sure the printer is switched off
at the power isolator switch at the back of the printer and that the power cord
and the interface cable are not connected.
• The PostScript upgrade module contains electrical components that are easily
damaged by small amounts of static electricity. Please read the following
information carefully before you handle the PostScript module:
• Leave the PostScript module in the antistatic bag until you are ready to install it.
• If possible, use an antistatic wrist strap and a grounding mat.
• Before you remove the PostScript module from the antistatic bag, touch a grounded,
unpainted metal surface to discharge static electricity.
