2) Setting the machining angle
First mount the bench pins in the positions required for the machining angle. For
workpieces up to approx. 25 mm material thickness use the two short bench pins and one
or two long bench pins for the workpiece to be machined. For larger material thicknesses
(up to 55mm) use the long bench pins. In most cases it is sufficient to insert the bench
pins only into the drill holes. For particularly high accuracy requirements or if the same
angles are to be machined repeatedly, they can be attached to the table from below using
the screws supplied.
For 90° machining, the bench pins for the guide rail
Are placed in any either hole marked "0-100°"
As the worktop of the Vario-Bench is symmetrically
constructed, any other opposite pair of holes can be
used. This applies to both the long and the short side
(except the holes for the 22.5° adjustment)
For a machining angles other than 90°, you can
swivel the guide rail by one of the two holes
marked "0-100°" in 5° steps. This results in
further 45° angle positions via the hole grid
in the middle of the Vario-Bench worktop.
Furthermore, there are holes for 22.5° and 67.5° .
There are also positions available for all other angles.
E.g, if a saw cut is to be made at an angle of 62°.
A bench pin is inserted in one of the holes marked
0-100°
The second in the hole 65°
and the third in the hole 3°
65°-3°=62°
Using this method and angle between 1° and 90°
can be easily and accurately achieved.
