2.0 Commissioning the VCI DoD 2.0 95990401

The VCI is suitable for vehicles with an on-
board voltage of 12 V.
An internet connection is required for the
operation of DoD 2.0.
Terminal devices can be PCs, laptops or tab-
lets with the current Android, iOS or Win-
dows10 operating systems.
During servicing, the vehicle must always be
connected to a powerful charger. We recom-
mend a charging current of at least 90 A.
The vehicle engine must not run during di-
agnosis!
The manufacturer's electrical system volt-
age must be observed (battery type).
There are two ways of connecting the VCI:
via LAN with a suitable network cable of
quality class from CAT 6 or via Wifi (frequen-
cy range 2.4 GHz).
Vehicle operation must have a stable Inter-
net (from 16 Mbit/s) and no transmission
with a Wifi repeater in the workshop.
NOTE
We recommend a LAN connection
with DoD 2.0
The user should perform a performance test
on the Internet connection before operating
the VCI, as the Internet connection can cause
damage to the vehicle electronics.

With some routers, certain ports may
have to be opened additionally in the
router security settings.
Make sure that the following ports are
not blocked.
