POI PILOT 6000 FUNCTIONING AND OPERATION
The POI Pilot 6000 provides acoustic and visual warnings
about particular points/dangers in road traffi c. In doing so,
the POI Pilot diff erentiates between the playback/warning
about stationary and mobile speed trap locations, safety
POIs with particularly dangerous curves, intersections,
railroad crossings, speed bumps, and other POIs such as
cheap petrol stations, opened emergency pharmacies, but
also fast-food restaurants.
Basic settings
The POI Pilot 6000 is already optimally confi gured for the
requirements of most users, ex works. The following simple
operating options are available via the three buttons (-/M/+):
 Adjust volume
The volume can be adjusted via the "+" and "-" buttons.

 Save location
For saving your location press the M-button for at least 3
seconds. You can assign the logged POI to one of the four
POI types and add the speed limit, during the record.
Logged POIs get transfered while the next update to the
privat POI-category "My private POIs" » "Recorded POIs".
They are now available to get edited in the interactive
card. Recorded POIs are not automatically published.
To report new radar traps use the interactive card in the
POIbase software. There you have the opportunity to
move POIs from the private category „Recorded POIs" to
public categorys for example "Speed cameras" (function
change category).
 Summer- / winter time
The clock is set automatically via GPs, the time zone or
summer/winter time is adopted automatically from the
PC's system time during each data update.
However, it is possible to overwrite the time zone in the
settings as follows:
plus/minus one hour depending on summer/winter time
» delete.
 Factory settings
If all three buttons ("M", "+", and "–") are pressed
simultaneously for at least 3 seconds, all the settings are
reset (the data is retained).
