Retransmission of inputs to outputs

The „ Operate force sensor" serial input status is retransmitted to the analog
output „ Operate force sensor" (X9.1, 0 = 0V, 1 = 10V).
The following parallel inputs are retransmitted to serial outputs:
 Motor protection trip
 Circuit breaker ON
 No fault current

Integrated dressing control

This timer is capable of controlling 3 dressing tools (not at the same time!). The
„ Temperature contact" and „ Motor protection trip" inputs are used for all
dressing tools.
The number of dressing tool revolutions is derived from the parameters of the
electrode number which has been assigned to the currently activated program, no
matter which dressing tool is started.
Two different upper limits may be programmed with respect to the dressing tool
revolutions per electrode. One upper limit each applies to „ Initial dressing" and
one to „ Subsequent dressing". The timer independently selects the appropriate
limit value subject to the relevant electrode status (initial dressing of a new
electrode, normal dressing of a used electrode).
The Integrated dressing tool control can work in two different modes:
The dressing process is started via the „ Start dressing tool X" input. The timer
activates the „ Dressing tool on X" output and waits until the dressing tool has
started running. As soon as it detects a rising edge at the „ rpm sensor X" input,
it will set the „ Dressing tool running X" output to high status. Then, the robot will
close the electrode gun and signal this condition via input „ Close gun X". As
soon as this signal is high, the timer starts counting the revolutions. When the
programmed rpm has been reached, it will set the „ Dressing tool finished
message X" output to high state. The dressing tool will continue to be driven until
the „ Start dressing tool X" input becomes low; then, outputs „ Dressing tool on
X", „ Dressing tool running X" and „ Dressing tool finished message X" will also
be reset to 0.
If an error occurs during tip dressing ("Motor protection trip", Emergency-Stop,
failure of the rpm sensor, i.e. no rising edge for 500 ms, dressing tool activated
for more than the maximum time or tip dressing canceled by deactivating inputs
„ Start dressing tool X" or „ Close gun X" before the programmed rpm are
reached), the dressing tool is immediately stopped, a fault message is generated
and output „ Error dressing tool X" becomes high (1).
If 0 dressing tool revolutions have been programmed, the timer will immediately
set the „ Dressing tool finished message X" output to 1 without setting the
„ Dressing tool on X" output.
