8. Before starting the equipment

• Open the packaging and remove the device carefully.
• Remove the packaging material as well as the packaging and transport bracing (if avail-
able).
• Check that the delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage.
• If possible, store the packaging until the warranty period has expired.
m ATTENTION
The device and packaging materials are not toys! Children must not be
allowed to play with plastic bags, film and small parts! There is a risk of
swallowing and suffocation!
Adjustment of the hand chain
1. Before you lift a load with the chain hoist, you should make yourself familiar with the
"without load" function of the chain hoist.
2. Brake control system
Test the brakes as follows:
• Hung the load
• Lift the load
• Lift and lower the load to various heights
• Check whether load holding in any position is ensured
The chain hoist is supplied with a hand chain whose length is pro-
portional to the pass of the pulley. In case of normal installation
it satisfies the condition of proper adjustment of the chain end. In
cases in which the length of hand chain does not appeal the pre-
scribed conditions, it is necessary to shorten or lengthen the chain.
