If the counter is set to 000 it is in performance mode or torque testing and returns to zero
when the torque is released.
2 peak modes can be selected:
Peak mode P-1:
This peak mode can read the peak torque value when the meter is at any value between 001
and 999. When force is applied (manual or mechanical by a screwdriver with friction trigger)
the unit shows the tested torque. It may display an excessively high value.
Peak mode P-2:
The standard mode is best suited for testing torque screwdrivers,
directly indicates the peak value.
Pressing the MEM key to smemorise the value and move to a new test.
In run mode you must press the "clear" key to activate the auto zero function (The torque
must remain within 20% of maximum value)
"Message Display Err9"
With no load applied, you must press the "power" and "clear" keys.
- If the message Err9 disappears, the device is functioning properly.
- If the message Err9 persists, you must press the reset contact (see page 1), then press the
"power" and "clear" keys. If the Err9 message is still displayed, an electronic circuit sensor
problem may occur. Please consult Bergeon SA for assistance
"Message Display Err0"
Err0 may be displayed if the auto zero function is activated and the torque value is still
unstable. It it is stable, you must press the "clear" key again.
- If the message Err0 disappears, the device can be used normally.
- If the Err0 message persists; you must press the reset contact (see on page 1) then you must
press the "clear" key when stable. If the Err9 message persists, an electronic circuit sensor
problem can occur. Please consult Bergeon SA for assistance.
- The auto zero adjustment must be made without any charge
- If the Err0 or Err9 messages are still displayed, you can disconnect by pressing the "power"
key. So not to waste the battery.
- For the auto-zero operation you must apply a current in the direction of the test, then shut
off the current then finally press on the "C" key.
After turning the unit on, the automatic test key is activated.
If there is a problem with the function key the following messages may be displayed:
"Err1: The + key (meter forward) remained depressed.
"Err2: The (back counter) key – remained depressed.
"Err3: The MEM key has remained depressed.
"Err4: The Clear key remains depressed.
"Err5: The MD key has remained depressed.
"Err8: Internal memory dysfunctionment.
Instructions to be applied when error messages are displayed:
Err1 to Err5 or Err8 are displayed
- You must turn off the unit (press the "power" key). Then (with no impulsion on the other
keys) you must again press the "power" key. If the Err message disappeared, the device
is functional again.
- If the Err message persits , cut off the power again and then press the "power" key and
the "clear" key at the same time. If the message is still displayed, there may be a problem
with the sensor. Please contact Tohnichi for assistance. Please turn off the unit so not to
waste the battery.
In peak mode (Meter 001-999), the peak value is automatically saved in the set time. The
tourque is released and the meter increments a recount. The auto memory function is disabled
when 0.0 is displayed.
