IMPORTANT INFORMATION
CAUSES OF INSUFFICIENT INITIAL
ADHESIVE STRENGTH
•
Tub/tray is too cold (minimum temperature: +10°C)
Tub/tray edge is damp or dirty (dust, grease film, etc.).
•
If the adhesive strip is dirty/damp, it must no longer
be fitted.
•
In case of special tub/tray coatings, the surface to be
sealed must be pre-treated.
STORAGE AND INSTALLATION
•
Avoid direct sunlight.
•
Store in a dry and dust-free location.
•
Do not glue offcuts together!
•
Storage temperature: +10 to +30 °C
•
Tubs/trays must be installed stably. Take note of the cur-
rent information sheets from professional associations
and trade guilds.
•
Before applying silicone, weigh the tub/tray down (using a
weight) or by filling the tub. Take account of any shrinkage
(due to the underfloor or screed and method of installing
the tub/tray).
•
If necessary, the lateral seals for the tub/tray sealing strip
must be installed by the tiler or fitter.
•
No incisions must ever be made. The integra ted metal insert
is an additional safety feature to protect the tub/tray sea-
ling strip against penetration during renewal of the silicone
joint. Major impacts may also damage or cut through the
insert, which can cause leaks.

WARNINGS
•
The tub/tray sealing tape is to be used exclusively for
creating a seal between the tub/tray and the wall.
•
Ensure that the silicone joint is sufficiently wide. The silicone
joint and its maintenance fall within the responsibility
of the specia list companies that execute the work or of the
client/building owner.
•
No liability is accepted for loss or damage due to incorrectly
installed or damaged tub/tray sealing strip, in case of
failure to maintain a silicone joint by the building owner,
landlord, tenant, installer, tiler, etc., and/or in case of
use of the tub/tray sea ling strip and installation materials
for impro per purposes and instances of negligence in
connection therewith.
•
Finished wall covering: ceramic tile, minimum 20 × 20 cm.
Other coverings by agreement.
•
