INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BASIC TUB / TRAY SEALING STRIP (ON THE WALL SIDE)

Thoroughly clean the tub/tray edge with the
enclosed cleaning cloth and then wipe down
with a dry cloth.

Apply the butyl strip to the tub/tray edge
(only where the tub/tray sealing strip is
applied) and pull it over the corner compen-
sation profile. Press down firmly.

Pull the covering film away from the butyl
strip and apply the tub/tray sealing strip
without creases. Press down firmly, especially
at the corners.

If a horizontal surface needs to be sealed, the
fleece-laminated butyl strip cannot yet be
glued to the wall and the tub/tray cannot yet
be installed.

Apply the butyl strip to the required corners,
flush with the lower edge of the tub/tray radi-
us. Remove the covering film.

Pull the covering paper off from the underside
and press the tub/tray sealing strip onto
the tub/tray.
Without horizontal sealing tape:

With horizontal sealing tape:

Apply the sound insulation strip. If the hori-
zontal sealing strip also has to be fitted,
the sound insulation strip must be applied
with a back offset

After tiling, pull the perforated tile separating
strip away from the tub/tray sealing strip and
prepare the joint with silicone to an adequate
width. The remaining piece is used as joint
backfill (round cord seal) and to absorb sound.

Remove the inner covering film from the corner
compensation profile and then press it firmly
against the tub/tray edge. Remove the outer
covering film. For radii of 13 mm – 18 mm only.

Place the cutting protection board underneath
the profile and cut with the cutter. Apply the
tub/tray sealing strip so that it fits squarely
around the corner compensation profile (do not
pull it) and mitre-cut it.

Apply one layer of composite seal. Glue the
fleece-laminated butyl strip onto the dry com-
posite seal. Remove the covering paper.
Apply the second layer of composite seal over
the full area of the sealing strip.
