Transport weights above 35 kg must be carried by at least 2 persons. When
transporting and installing the machine, please note that the machine has a
high centre of gravity with and wi hout the base frame, i.e. it is top heavy.
WARNING
Before connecting the REMS Collum RG,
REMS Collum RG 2, REMS Collum RG 2 Compact, REMS Magnum 2000
RG-T, REMS Magnum 2010 RG-T, REMS Magnum 2020 RG-T check that the
connect drive units of protection class I to a socket/extension lead with a
functional PE conductor. On building sites, in a wet environment, indoors and
outdoors or under similar installation conditions, only operate the electrical
device on the mains with a fault current protected switch (FI breaker) which
interrupts the power supply as soon as the leakage current to earth exceeds
30 mA for 200 ms.
See REMS Magnum instruction manual: The machine can be lifted at the front
by the guide arms (8) and at the rear by a pipe clamped into a quick-action
hammer chuck (1) and guide chuck (2) for transport.
Fix the machine to REMS Jumbo (accessory, Art. No. 120200) or one of the
base frames (accessory, Art. No. 344105, 344100) with the 4 screws provided.
Make sure that the machine is horizontal. Open the quick-action hammer chuck
(1). Push the roller grooving unit in the guide arms (8) until the drive shaft of
the roll grooving unit protrudes into the quick-action hammer chuck with its 3
faces. Close the quick-action hammer chuck until the clamping jaws are in
contact with the 3 faces of the drive shaft. With the clamping ring (9), tighten
the drive shaft after a brief opening movement with one or two hard turns.
See REMS Magnum instruction manual: Swing in the pipe cutter and the inner
pipe deburrer. Undo the wing screw on the clamping ring, Remove the oil pan
with the cuttings tray. Short circuit the mechanical lubricant pump by connec ing
the hose end detached from the tool holder to the intake side of the pump.
Lubricant must circulate inside the pump to prevent it from being damaged.
Remove the tool set. Make sure that the machine is horizontal.
Push the roller grooving unit in the guide arms (8) un il the drive shaft of the
roll grooving unit protrudes into the quick-action hammer chuck with its 3 faces.
Close the quick-action hammer chuck until the clamping jaws are in contact
with the 3 faces of the drive shaft. With the clamping ring (9), tighten the drive
shaft after a brief opening movement with one or two hard turns.

pipe deburrer. Undo the wing screw on the clamping ring, remove the cuttings
tray. Detach the hose end from the tool holder and insert in the hole in the
coolant tray so that lubricant can circulate inside the pump to prevent it from
being damaged. Remove the tool set. Always ensure that the machine is always
positioned horizontally on the mobile base frame. Remove wheels or place the
two stand pipes underneath.
Push the roller grooving unit in the guide arms (8) un il the drive shaft of the
roll grooving unit protrudes into the quick-action hammer chuck with its 3 faces.
Close the quick-action hammer chuck until the clamping jaws are in contact
with the 3 faces of the drive shaft. With the clamping ring (9), tighten the drive
shaft after a brief opening movement with one or two hard turns.
