Operating instructions
BS-10/1m VGA MF Camera scope
Item no. 1499841
Intended use
This product serves as a camera attachment for various endoscope base units from the Voltcraft product
range (see compatibility list in the chapter „Technical Data"). It is used for visual fault tracing or inspection of
dead-voltage systems and equipment.
The flexible camera neck allows the camera at the top to be positioned so it can reach into otherwise
inaccessible locations. The four LEDs built into the camera head enable visibility in total darkness, with
brightness controlled via the connected endoscope base unit. The camera neck and the camera head are
waterproof, which makes the product ideally suited for use in dead-voltage fluids (not acids or alkalis). The
product is not suitable for use in humans and animals or in explosion hazard areas. Power is supplied via
the connected endoscope base unit.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, you may inflict damage on the product. Moreover, the improper
use involves risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks, etc. Please read the operating instructions
carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operat-
ing instructions as well.
This product complies with the applicable national and European regulations. All names of companies and

Getting started
The camera neck may only be immersed with the camera head and the gooseneck (in dead-
voltage fluids, not in acids or alkalis) since the connector (the housing with the buttons „+" and
„-") is not waterproof.
The endoscope must only be used for inspections of de-energised equipment. The camera
head is made of metal and this may lead to short-circuits. For safety reasons, de-energise all
components prior to every inspection.
Do not exceed the minimum bending radius of 45 mm.
• Carefully connect the product's connector to the appropriate socket of the endoscope base unit.
Make sure that the pins inside the connector are properly aligned with the socket holes to pre-
vent them from getting broken or bent. The warranty/guarantee will be void!
• Secure the connection with the fixing ring of the endoscope base unit.
• Proceed in reverse order to disconnect the product from the endoscope base unit.
Using the buttons „+" and „-" you can adjust the sharpness of the image (press „+" when viewing
more distant objects and „-" for close objects). Of course, this is only possible within the limits
set by optical constraints. For instance, if the object being viewed is too close, the sharpness of
the image can no longer be increased.
When the respective limit position has been reached and the image no longer changes, release
the corresponding button to avoid damaging the mechanism.
You can find more operating information, for example, how to adjust the LED brightness, in the
operating instructions of the endoscope base unit.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the endoscope base unit before cleaning.
• Use a small brush or cotton swab to clean the camera lens.
• Use a cloth moistened with warm water to clean the camera neck.

ments.
