• Only use the device indoors, in dry areas and not in the vicinity of water or any other
liquids.
• WARNING! This device is NOT intended to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas
and similar humid indoor locations.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. This can cause a fatal electric
shock!
• Switch OFF the device and disconnect it from the power socket when the device is not in
use or is being cleaned.
• Check the device regularly for damage.
• Never use the device if the power plug shows signs of damage, if the device has fallen to
the ground or has any other signs of damage. In such cases, take the device to an expert
for inspection and have it repaired if necessary.
• Never allow children to use the device without supervision. Children are unable to judge
the hazards associated with incorrectly using electric devices.
• Children in the vicinity of the device must always be supervised by an adult.
• Never leave the device unattended whilst it is in use.
• Keep the device air inlets clean so they cannot become blocked with dust or other
particles, thus preventing overheating and malfunction.
• If the device has been in a slanted position of more than 45°, allow it to stand upright for
at least 24 hours before use.
• The refrigerant loop (filled with R290 gas) is sealed. Do not attempt to open it. Only
qualified service centres can perform inspections or repairs.
• Do not discharge the refrigerant into the atmosphere.
• R290 (propane) gas is flammable and heavier than air. It initially accumulates in low
areas, but can be circulated by air.
• The R290 (propane) gas used in the device is odourless
• The lack of odour does not mean that no gas has escaped.
• WARNING! In case of a detected gas leak, immediately evacuate all persons and
pets from the room, ventilate the room and contact the local fire department and explain
that a propane leak has occurred.
• Do not let any persons enter the room, before it has been declared safe to enter.
• No open flames, cigarettes or other possible sources of ignition should be used inside or
in the vicinity of the device. Risk of fire!
• Parts are designed for propane and are non-incentive and non-sparking. Components
shall only be replaced with identical parts by qualified service centres.
• Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or cleaning agents, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
Service manual / safety precautions on servicing
Repairs are to be carried out by a qualified service centre. Qualified service centre: after-
sales department of the manufacturer or store, which is recognised and authorised to carry
out such repairs so that potential hazards can be prevented.
Please observe these warnings when taking the following actions when servicing an
appliance with R290.
