Installation:
1) Exchange the stock bar end screws with the supplied bolts M12x80 with internal
thread. The stock bar ends will be furher used. The bolts need to be tightened to
BMW specs after installation.
2a) The top and bottom clamp parts of the adaptors are specific for right and left
side. R or L are marked on all pieces to help to lay them correctly (longer clamp goes
on top). Refer to the small photo in the middle righ. Use white plastic edge protector
between clamp edges and the handlebar to protect the finish. Install them with the
M6x50 screws, washers M6 and nylock nuts M6. Refer to bottom middle photo.
2b) Use the supplied spacer (Distanz) to attach the handprotectors to the adaptors
with the top washer/spacers, screws, washers and nuts from the Acerbis handguard
package. Refer to the bottom left photo.
2c) Press in the washer/spacer from the Acerbis package in the end of the
handguard and attach them with the M8x20 to the bar ends. Refer to the bottom
right photo.
NOTE: Before your ride, please make sure that the handguards and/or spoilers won't
interfere with fairing, tank or other parts even at full turn. Make also sure that cable
won't scrub on the guards and that all handlebar controls can be used freely.
