9.2 Mounting

The device is easy to mount using the adhesive tape or screws
supplied.
Please read this section thoroughly before you begin
mounting the device.

9.2.1 Selecting a suitable mounting location


Select the window or door for mounting the window and door
contact.

The electronic unit (B) and the magnetic contact (D) are mounted
parallel to each other in the upper third of the window/door (as
shown in Figure 4). The side of the window/door with the handle
must be selected.

The electronic unit (B) and the magnetic contact (D) must be
fitted so that they are not more than 5 mm apart when the
window is closed.
The electronic unit and the magnetic contact should be
located at the same height if possible. A spacer (E) can be
used for the magnetic contact, in order to raise it; therefore,
the electronic unit must be mounted on the higher part of
the window.
The ideal distance between the housing edge of the
window and door contact and that of the magnetic contact
is 5 mm (see Figure 4).
