3. General Description

3.1. Application

The wastewater lifting unit promotes domestic waste-
water drainage from a toilet, a washbasin, a shower and a
bidet from areas below the backflow level and from areas
for which the slope to the nearest sewer connection is
too low.
The lifting unit meets the requirements of DIN EN 12050-
3 (lifting plants for limited use). That means:
The waste water lifting unit the standard DIN EN 12050-
3 (Lifting plants for limited application). This means that:
• The plant must be installed in the same room as the
sanitary units to be disposed of, so that any malfunc-
tion can be recognized immediately. A shaft installa-
tion is not permissible.
• A maximum of 1 WC, 1 wash-hand basin, 1 bidet and
1 shower may be connected.
• The plant must be set up on the flooring material and
must not be recessed but must be installed above
floor level.
• Condensate or sole from water softeners must be
disposed by an additional sewage pump or lifting unit.
• Only a small number of users should have to rely on
the equipment. A WC above backflow level should
additionally be available to these users.
It must be ensured without fail that no toiletries, e.g.
tampons, sanitary towels, condoms, moist toilet pa-
per etc., and no non-sliceable materials such as
glass, wood, metal (razor blades, crown caps) or the
like can go into the sewage, Since these are not
sliced by the cutting unit, they remain in the collect-
ing tank and may block the pump. Avoid introducing
wastewater heavily laden with fats into the lifting
unit.
Flow velocity in the pressure line must be at least
0.7m/s.

3.2. Type of Use

The wastewater lifting units are designed for intermittent
S3 30% operation. That means that the pump can be op-
erated for 3 minutes but then must be cooled down for 7
minutes.

3.3. Construction

The wastewater lifting units consist of a non-rotting,
water-, gas-and odor-proof plastic container with a sin-
gle-stage centrifugal pump which automatically shuts on
at a water level of about 8 cm and off at about 3 cm
The tanks have various connectors:
• double-sided inlet 40 mm
• side pressure connection 25 mm
• Intake WC Form A DIN1387 DIN 1388
• Ventilation with active charcoal filter
