5.3 Interconnecting several
TWIST-52LED moving heads
Several TWIST-52LED can be interconnected
(master / slave mode). Thus, the master unit is able
to synchronize all slave units.
1) Interconnect the units via the jacks DMX OUT-
PUT (12) and DMX INPUT (9) to create a chain.
See chapter 6.1 "DMX connection", however,
skip step 1.
2) The first TWIST-52LED in the chain (of which
the jack DMX INPUT has not been connected) is
used as a master unit to control the slave units.
Set the slave units to one of the two slave
modes:
a) Press the button MENU (4) repeatedly until
the display shows Slave Mode.
b) Activate the menu item Slave Mode with
the button ENTER. The slave mode adjusted
starts flashing on the display:
Slave1 The slave unit is synchronized with
Slave2 The movement of the head of the

Once the slave units receive the control signals
from the master unit, the red LED SLAVE (6)
lights up on the slave units.

5.4 Remote control via LC-3 or LC-9RTX

The cable remote controller LC-3 or the wireless
remote controller LC-9RTX available as an acces-
sory allow to control different functions.
1) Connect the remote controller LC-3 to the jack
ONLY FOR REMOTE CONTROL (10) or con-
nect the wireless receiver of the LC-9RTX to the
jack ONLY FOR WIRELESS RECEIVER (11).

2) No DMX signal must be present at the DMX
INPUT (9). The yellow LED MASTER (3) must
light up.
3) The DMX OUTPUT (12) allows to connect further
TWIST-52LED moving heads (
in order to control them together with the master
unit via the remote controller.
4) To activate or deactivate the light beam, press
the button STAND BY on the remote controller.
At the same time, the head returns to its starting
position. When the light beam is deactivated, the
LED of the button STAND BY lights up as an
indication.
5) Press the button MODE on the remote controller
to select the operating mode:
1. If the LED of the button MODE does not light
up, keep the button FUNCTION on the re-
mote controller pressed to activate one of the
three stroboscope functions:
A permanent stroboscope
B stroboscope alternating on master unit and
slave units
C music-controlled stroboscope
Activate the music control for this purpose
(
chapter 5.1).
Each time you keep the button FUNCTION
pressed again, the next stroboscope function
is activated.
2. When the LED of the button MODE starts
flashing, press the button FUNCTION to
select the show program (Show 1 – 4).
3. When the LED of the button MODE lights up,
press the button FUNCTION to select the
colour of the light beam and the light pattern.
To select the colour, only press the button
briefly; to select the pattern, keep the button
pressed until the next pattern appears. In this
mode, the moving head controls the move-
ment of the light beam automatically, i. e.
independently of the music.

6 Operation via DMX light controller

For operation via a light controller with DMX 512
protocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB from
"img Stage Line"), the TWIST-52LED is equipped
with 15 DMX control channels. For a different order
of the control channels, it can be switched to the
16-channel mode. For the functions and the DMX
values see chapter 9.2.
DMX is the abbreviation of digital multiplex and means dig-
ital control of several DMX units via a common control
cable.
