OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SPS-1200/R USB CHARGER
ITEM NO.: 1369739
INTENDED USE
This product is designed to charge and operate USB devices (5 V/DC) with a micro-USB port, such
as Raspberry Pi computer. The product is connected to a household mains socket (100 – 240 V/AC,
50/60 Hz) and is protected against short circuits and overload.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions
carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating
instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can
damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take
several hours.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid right next to the
device. If liquids or objects do get into the device interior, the product must not be used any
more; take the product to a repair centre.
• Never leave the product and the connected device unattended during use.
• Remove the product from the mains socket and the connected device when you are not using
it.
• The product generates heat during use. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation and do not
cover the product during use.
• Do not use the product with USB devices that require a current of more than 1.2 A
(approx. 6 W at 5 V/DC).
• Do not short-circuit the USB ports.
• The mains socket that the device is plugged into must be easily accessible.
• Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply.
• Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the power adapter
complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use
the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by
sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket during storms.

b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or use, or if questions arise which are not covered by
these operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support or another qualified
specialist.
OPERATION
Ensure that the connection specifications for your USB device comply with
the connection data for the product. The maximum power consumption
of your connected USB device must not exceed the output power of the
power adapter. Pay attention to the information in the technical data.
Always read the operating instructions for your USB device.
Do not short-circuit the USB connection.
• Connect the micro-USB plug at the end of the USB cable to the charging port on your USB device.
• Connect the charger to a suitable mains socket.
• Your USB device will start to charge/operate via the mains connection.
• Once you have finished charging/using your USB device, remove it from the power outlet.
• Carefully monitor the charging process/operation of your USB device.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the casing or even impair the functioning of the
product.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product,
therefore never open/dismantle it.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the casing, as this can lead
to scratch marks.
• Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-haired brush.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
