Intended use

With Miele washer-disinfectors, cleaning processes can be documen‐
ted or the Miele Remote Service can be used. To enable this, Miele
washer disinfectors are equipped with a module slot on the back to
take a Miele communication module.
The XKM RS232 10 Med communication module supplied enables
the installation of an RS 232 interface.
Only use terminal devices (printers etc.) which are approved accord‐
ing to EN/IEC 60950.
For more information on suitable printers and the Miele Remote Serv‐
ice please contact Miele.
Configuration of the interface must only be carried out by suitably
qualified and competent personnel.
The communication module can be used in the following washer-dis‐
infectors:
– PG 8562
– PG 8581
– PG 8582
– PG 8582 CD
– PG 8583
– PG 8583 CD
– PG 8591
– PG 8592
– PG 8593
The communication module is generally referred to as the module in
these Operating instructions.
