Colour Surveillance Camera with
GB
White Light LEDs and Motion Sensor
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
installing and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
This colour camera with zoom lens and 33 white light
LEDs is especially designed for application in video sur-
veillance systems (CCTV). Due to its metal housing it is
weather-proof (IP 66) and can therefore also be used out-
doors. When darkness falls and a movement is detected,
the LEDs illuminate the surveillance area for approx.
30 seconds so that colour pictures can even be taken at
night.
2 Important Notes
The camera corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
.
CAUTION! Never look directly into the lit
LEDs, it may cause eye damage.
G
Protect the camera against extreme temperatures (ad -
missible ambient temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C).
G
For cleaning do not use aggressive detergents or
chemicals.
G
No guarantee claims for the camera and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the camera is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed or
not repaired in an expert way.
If the camera is to be put out of operation defin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a dis-
posal which is not harmful to the environment

3 Installation

1) To determine the perfect place of mounting, a test run
should be made. Then fix the camera support (2) to a
suitable place of the ceiling or wall with three screws.
2)
IMPORTANT! The connections (9, 10 and 11) and
the cable distributor (8) are not weatherproof. In case
of outdoor installation they have to be protected
accordingly.
Connect the BNC inline jack (10) to the video input of
a monitor. With a cable length of more than 100 m a
video amplifier should be inserted between the cam-
era and the cable to compensate level loss.

To facilitate the adjustments, a mobile monitor may
be connected to the additional video output (7) via the
supplied cable "Extra Video". For this purpose screw
off the cover (5).
3) The 5-pole terminal (11) may be used for the following
functions:

4) Connect a regulated 12 V power supply unit with a
permanent rating of 0.4 A (e. g. PSS-1210DC or
PS-120WP from MONACOR) to the low voltage inline
jack (9). A low voltage plug 5.5 / 2.1 mm (outside / inside
diameter) is required. Observe the correct polarity
(centre contact = positive pole). After applying the
operating voltage, the camera is switched on and the
LEDs light up for approx. 30 seconds.
5) Switch on the connected monitor and align the camera
by means of the monitor image: Release the corre-
sponding setscrews (1) at the support and retighten
them after aligning.
4 Adjusting Zoom and Focus
First make the zoom adjustment with the rear rotary
ring (4). Then adjust a clear picture with the front rotary
ring (3). The rotary rings are each secured with a set -
screw which must be released before and retightened
after the adjustment.
