Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing Schüco Solar products and for
the trust you have placed in our company.
Prior to your fi rst installation, we recommend that you
attend a training course at our training centre or, if this
is not possible, that you arrange for on-site training from
one of our service engineers.
Please observe the information in these installation and
operating instructions.
Note the following instructions regarding laws,
regulations and technical rules.
When setting up solar energy installations, the laws and
regulations at local, state, European and international
level that apply to the country in question must be
observed.
Generally acknowledged technical regulations apply;
these are usually in the form of standards, guidelines,
provisions, regulations and technical rules laid down by
local and national bodies, energy supply companies,
trade organisations and technical committees in the
relevant fi elds.
To meet regulations for the prevention of accidents,
it may be necessary to use safety equipment (straps,
scaffolding, supports, etc.). Such safety equipment is not
supplied and must be ordered separately.
Training and qualifi cation of the fabricators/
installers
Schüco assumes that installation will only be carried out
by technically qualifi ed and authorised personnel with a
recognised qualifi cation (verifi ed by a state or national
body) in the relevant technical area.
Product description: Schüco PV modules
Schüco MPE modules generate electricity as soon as
they are exposed to light. The electrical contacts are
therefore always "live". A single module lies below the
protective low voltage threshold, but several modules
connected in series or parallel may represent a danger.
When installing the modules, please observe all the
installation instructions for the system assemblies and
components.
We shall not be liable for any damage which arises from
a failure to adhere to these instructions.

Correct usage

The Schüco MPE modules are designed as stationary
generators of electricity for photovoltaic systems
Alternative use or use beyond this remit is not in
accordance with its purpose. Incorrect usage can result
in serious injury or death to the user or a third party
and may harm the device or system and other material
assets. The manufacturer/supplier shall not be liable for
any damage arising from such misuse. The risk will be
borne by the user alone.
Correct usage also includes adhering to the installation
and operating instructions.
CE marking
The CE marking documents that in accordance with the
type plate the module meets the basic requirements of
the following relevant guidelines:
- EN 61730-1 (2007)
- EN 61730-2 (2007)
- Low voltage guideline (guideline 73/23/EWG)
The modules are designed for use in
application class A:
Hazardously Voltage (IEC 61730: Greater 50V DC;
EN 61730: Greater 120V DC); Installation with
hazardously power, where unlimited access can be
expected generally (Modules which are qualifi ed in
this application class in accordance to
EN IEC 61730-1 and -2 are expected to fulfi ll the
requirements of Safty Class II)
To ensure perfect and reliable operation of this device,
it must be transported, stored, set-up and installed
correctly, as well as operated and maintained carefully.
When this device is operational, certain components are
subject to high voltage which can cause serious injury or
death.
The handling instructions must be observed to minimise
the risk of death or injury.
