Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Handgelenksorthese zur
Immobilisierung in mindestens zwei Bewegungsrichtungen
Indikationen
Präoperativ, postoperativ, posttraumatisch, z.B. Karpaltunnelsyndrom (CTS),
Discusverletzung, Handwurzelarthrose
Kontraindikationen
Periphere arterielle Verschlusskrankheit (PAVK), Lymphabflussstörungen
auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels,
Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion,
Erkrankungen der Haut im versorgten Körperabschnitt
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen nicht zu fest verschließen z.B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material
zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Vor dem Anlegen der BORT ManuDisc muss die innenliegende Aluschiene
durch eine Fachkraft an die anatomische Handform des Patienten gebogen
werden. Hierzu empfiehlt sich, zu Beginn die gewünschte Lagerungsstellung
der Hand durch entsprechendes Anformen der volaren Schiene im
Bereich des Handgelenks einzustellen. Die am Unterarm befindlichen
Stabilisierungssegmente an die Kontur des Unterarms anformen. Die
ulnarseitige Umgreifung an der Außenseite der Mittelhand muss in einem
nächsten Schritt sorgfältig an die Kontur der Mittelhand angeformt werden.
Anschließend die Bänder am Unterarm durch die Umlenkschlaufen führen
und mittels der Klettverschlüsse schließen. Zum Schluss die beiden Klettzügel
im Bereich der Hand schließen. Die Blutzirkulation darf nicht beeinträchtigt
werden.

Intended purpose
This medical device is a wrist brace for immobilisation in at least two
directions of movement.
Indications
Pre-operative, post-operative, post-traumatic, e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome
(CTS), disc injury, carpal arthrosis.
Contraindications
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymph drainage disorders,
also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to the aid positioned, sensory and
circulatory disorders with the region of the body treated, skin diseases in the
part of the body treated.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received
the medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding
its use.
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– do not close it too tightly during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments in
the vicinity of the attached aid as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
Before putting the BORT ManuDisc on, the internal aluminium splint must
be bent by an expert to fit the patient's anatomical hand shape. For this, we
recommend setting the desired resting position for the hand via corresponding
forming of the palm splint in the wrist region at the beginning. Form the
stabilisation segments in the lower arm to the lower arm contours. The ulnar
support on the outer side of the metacarpus must carefully be shaped to the
metacarpus contour in the next step. Then guide the straps on the lower arm
through the guide loops and close them with the Velcro fasteners. Finally,
close both Velcro restraints in the hand area. Blood circulation must not be
influenced.

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une orthèse pour le poignet pour immobilisation

Artériopathie oblitérante périphérique (AOP), troubles de la circulation
lymphatique y compris tuméfaction des tissus mous d'origine inconnue de
l'aide posée, troubles de sensation et de la circulation sanguine des régions
corporelles traitées, maladies cutanées sur les zones traitées.
Risques inhérents à l'utilisation/Remarques importantes
Ce dispositif médical est un produit prescrit sur ordonnance. Consultez votre
médecin prescripteur pour en connaître l'utilisation et la durée de port. Le
choix de la taille ainsi qu'une présentation du produit seront réalisés par le
personnel spécialisé qui vous fournira ce dispositif médical.

Ablegen
Zum Ablegen der Orthese öffnen Sie bitte die Klettverschlüsse im Bereich
der Hand und des Unterarmes komplett und nehmen Sie die Orthese ab.
Schließen Sie die Klettverschlüsse um einen frühzeitigen Verschleiß der
Klettfläche zu vermeiden.

Klettverschlüsse schließen, um Beschädigung anderer Wäschestücke zu
vermeiden. Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. An der Luft trocknen.
Gewährleistung
Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie

Removal
To remove the brace, please open the Velcro fasteners fully in the hand and
lower arm areas and take the brace off. Close the Velcro fasteners in order to
avoid early wear to the Velcro surface.
Material composition

The sewn in textile label provides the precise material composition.
Cleaning information
Hand-washing Do not clean chemically
Do not dry in a tumble dryer
Close the Velcro fasteners in order to avoid damaging other items of clothing.
Do not use fabric conditioner. Dry in the fresh air.
Guarantee
The legal regulations of the country in which you acquired the product apply
to the purchased product. Please contact your specialist retailer if you suspect
a warranty claim. Please clean the product before submitting a warranty
claim. If the enclosed instructions for use have not been properly observed,
the warranty may be impaired or cancelled. The warranty does not cover use
of the product inappropriate for the indication, non-observance of application
risks, instructions and unauthorised modifications to the product.
Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.

If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the medical
device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the manufacturer
and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Instruction d'application
Avant la pose de BORT ManuDisc, un spécialiste doit courber l'attelle interne
en aluminium afin de l'adapter à la forme de la main du patient. Ici, il est
conseillé d'ajuster au début le positionnement souhaité de la main via une
mise en forme adaptée de l'attelle palmaire dans la région du poignet.
Adapter au contour de l'avant-bras les segments de stabilisation situés à
l'avant-bras. L'étape suivante consiste à adapter soigneusement au contour
du métacarpe le cerclage latéral ulnaire au niveau de la face externe du
métacarpe. Ensuite, faire passer les bandes de l'avant-bras à travers les
boucles de renvoi, puis fermer avec les fermetures Velcro. Enfin, fermer les
