Charging.
Before turning on the device for the first time, OrCam recom-
mends charging the device for at least three hours. For all sub-
sequent charges, OrCam Read fully charges in 90-120 minutes.
To charge OrCam Read:
1.
Insert the cable into the type C inlet of OrCam Read.
2.
Plug the USB end into the charger and then into an electrical
socket.
Turn on or off Your OrCam Read.
- To turn on OrCam Read, press the power button for 2 seconds.
When the device wakes up, you will hear, "OrCam Read Version
[xx] is ready. Battery is [xx] percent charged".
- To enter the Suspend mode, press the power button once.
You will hear a beep and, "Suspending. Press again to shut down",
and then, "Suspended" as the device enters Suspend mode.
- To exit the Suspend mode, either press the power button or
trigger button once. You will hear a beep and, "Waking up.
Battery is [xx] percent charged".

- To turn off OrCam Read, press the power button once. You will
hear a beep and, "Suspending. Press again to shut down". Press
the power button again. You will hear a beep and, "Shutting down,
please wait". As the device shuts down, you will hear, "Power off.
Bye bye".
Setting the Volume.
The volume is set either using a vocal command or manually.
To increase the volume:
- Rapidly press the trigger button twice and say after the long
beep, "Volume up".
- Press the plus ("+") volume button.
To decrease the volume:
- Rapidly press the trigger button twice and say after the long
beep, "Volume down".
- Press the minus ("-") volume button.
