2.2 Operator responsibility

In addition to the occupational safety information in these operating instructions, the safety,
accident prevention and environmental prevention regulations applicable to the operation site
of the RESCUE LIGHT must also be observed. Thereby, the following applies in particular:
• The operator must inform themselves with regard to the applicable occupational
safety regulations and carry out a risk assessment to identify additional dangers
arising from the special work conditions at the operation site of the RESCUE LIGHT.
• The operator must clearly regulate and determine responsibility for installation,
maintenance and cleaning.
• The operator must ensure that all persons engaged with the RESCUE LIGHT have
completely read and understood the operating instructions.
• Furthermore, they must train the personnel at regular intervals and inform
them of the dangers associated with handling the RESCUE LIGHT.
The operator is also responsible for ensuring the equipment is always in a technically flawless
condition. Therefore, the following applies:
• After each time the equipment is used, or at least once a year, a visual inspection
and functional check of the RESCUE LIGHT by an instructed person is required
(country-specific rules).
• An electrical check should be carried out at regular intervals in accordance
with the country-specific rules.
• If there is any damage or doubts regarding its safety, the RESCUE LIGHT should
be taken out of service.
