proof versions [EEx ia] IIC / [Ex iaD] with I.S.
measuring input, the supplementary information
given on the EC-Type-Examination Certificate, the
EN 60 079-14, the EN 61 241-14, and also local
regulations applicable to electrical installations
in explosion hazard areas must be taken into
account!
8.1 Signal input, output contact and power supply

8.1.1 Connecting the signal inputs

In the case of switch amplifiers with monitored inputs, sig-
nal inputs which are not connected (open-circuit signalling
output contacts A1,

To avoid this, place the input monitoring switch "
"OFF" position (to the left
If only one channel of a dual-channel unit is being used and
the input has to be monitored, connect a resistor (1...15 kΩ)
across the unused input. This prevents unnecessary alarms
by the red LED.
Where a contact is used instead of an active sensor and the
input has to be monitored, connect two resistors directly at
the contact as shown in Fig. 11.
8.2 Connecting the output contacts
Connect the output contact signalling leads according to
Fig. 9 resp. Table 3.

8.3 Connecting the power supply
Connect the power supply to terminals 5 (
as shown in Fig. 9.
A two-pole switch must be included in the supply connection
where facility for switching SINEAX SV 824 off is desired.

9. Operating sense

of the signal inputs may be reversed independently by recon-
