Dear customer,
Thank you for placing your trust in us by purchasing this pro-
duct. Please read these instructions carefully and completely
before deciding whether you would like to do the installation
yourself or have it done by a specialist.
Legal note: Atto® RB
All Kellermann Atto® RB are ECE-approved for motorcycles as do-
cumented by the approval mark engraved into the housing. This
means that you may use the Kellermann products instead of the
original tail/brake lights without any entry in your vehicle docu-
ments or presentation to a vehicle inspection organization. You do
not need to carry any documentation with you. This applies to
all motorcycles licensed under EU law and the corresponding
lights.
ATTENTION! The warranty will not apply if the Atto® RB has not
been correctly installed or connected to the electrical supply on
your motorcycle. Do not carry out the installation unless you are
qualifi ed to do so; otherwise, leave the installation and connection
work for your Atto® RB to a qualifi ed repair shop. The warranty
does not apply to damage due to wrong connection or excess
voltage (such as due to a defective alternator regulator).
ATTENTION! Improper mechanical installation or orientation
of your Atto® RB lights may invalidate your motorcycle's road-
worthiness and insurance protection, or even lead to accidents.
Before every usage of your vehicle, check whether the indicators
are correctly mounted and fully functional.
ATTENTION! Your Atto® RB lights may heat up during use.
Contact with bare skin or heat-sensitive objects may lead to
damage or injury.
ATTENTION! There are motorcycles with voltage peaks, that
damage Kellermann "DF" and "PL" products. These are: Older single
cylinder KTM, Husaberg and Husqvarna, Yamaha Raptor Quad and
vehicles of Skyteam, MZ and Simson and generally older vehicles.
Also other vehicles with non factory electrical system and e.g.
retrofi tted ignition/ lighting systems e.g. from Vape/Powerdynamo
and others. The problem can be solved easily by installing
suppressor diodes. Please contact our support team
mann-online.com) if you are unsure whether your vehicle belongs
to this group.
We point out that the warranty is void if operating with over-voltage.
CLEANING ADVICE! Your new Kellermann products are pre-
mium-quality products. In order to enjoy them long time and
maintain the warranty we recommend not to use any cleansers
with alkaline/acid and/or grinding substances or steel wool. We
also advice not to use steam cleaners.
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION! Make sure that your motorcycle is standing fi rmly
before you start work, as a fall may lead to damage to the motorcycle
or injury to you or others.
The Atto® RB is eligible for the rear of the vehicle if centrally mounted
as a single lamp or if symmetrically mounted to the longitudinal
center plane of the vehicle as a pair. The Atto® RB must be installed
radiating backwards in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle
and with a visible test mark.
The Atto® RB for horizontal mounting must be installed with a
level mounting thread.
The Atto® RB for vertical mounting must be installed with an
upright mounting thread.
Alignment is important to safety in traffi c and essential to your
motorcycle's roadworthiness, as a motorcycle with incorrectly
aligned lights is easy to overlook on the road.
Drill a 5 mm diameter hole and fasten the Atto® RB at 5 Nm with
the nut supplied. Use adapters, if necessary, available at
kellermann-online.com. Make sure that the area where the wires
emerge is protected from splash water.
Make sure that you keep the following measures in selecting your

Cut the wires of the original indicators between the indicator
and the connector, allowing enough slack in the wire for the
connection of the new indicator. By doing this the wiring loom
stays untouched.
Connect your Atto® RB as follows:
To connect the wires of the indicator to the wires of the original
connector there are crimp connectors and shrink tubings included
in the delivery. First push one of the shrink-on tubes over one of
the cables you want to connect and remove five millimeter of
insulation on the end of each cable. Then push both bare ends into
a crimp connector and crimp it with an appropriate tool. Then pull
the shrink-on tube over the connection and heat it up equally until
it fi ts tight over the complete length.
This type of connection is technically permanent. To create a
non-permanent connection, we recommend Posilock wire con-
nectors (not included), which are available for purchase from our
website at www.kellermann-online.com.
Lay the cables in a way, that they are protected from splash water
and fasten them, e.g. by using zip ties. Now test the function of
the Atto® RB.
This completes the installation.
When retrofi tting the original lighting units, warning messages in
the cockpit can occur in some vehicles. For this purpose, we can
