Produkt- und Funktionsbeschreibung
Allgemeines:
Der DALI Controller-4 ist das zentrale Element eines Systems zur
Lichtsteuerung. Er wurde zur Steuerung von elektronischen Vor-
schaltgeräten, welche das DALI – Protokoll nach IEC 62386 un-
terstützen, konzipiert. Das Gerät kann bis zu 4 DALI – Linien mit
jeweils 64 EVG's ansteuern. Im Gerät ist die Spannungsversor-
gung für die 4 DALI - Linien integriert.
Der DALI Controller-4 kann die Signale von Eingabebaugruppen
(DALI Tastereingang 4-fach, DALI Kombisensor Büro), die an der
DALI - Leitung angeschlossen sind verarbeiten.
Mit den im DALI Controller-4 integrierten Funktionen wie Sze-
nensteuerung, Ablaufsteuerung für Szenen, Konstantlichtrege-
lung und Timersteuerung ist das Gerät ideal für Lichtsteuerun-
gen in der Gebäudeautomation geeignet.
Konfiguration:
Die Konfiguration des Gerätes erfolgt über die Inbetriebnahme-
software Flexcon. Diese steht kostenlos zum download unter
www.siemens.com/Flexcon
Die Kommunikation zwischen PC und DALI Controller-4 erfolgt
über ein USB – Kabel (am Controller Typ B!)
Update und Auslesen der Firmware im DALI Controllers-4:
Dieser Vorgang ist mit oder ohne angeschlossenen Netzspan-
nung möglich.

ware Update gemacht werden, oder die aktuelle Firmwarever-
sion aus dem DALI Controller-4 ausgelesen werden.

Mengengerüst:
Der DALI Controller-4 unterstützt 4 DALI – Linien.
Innerhalb jeder Linie wird ein Adressraum von 64 EVG's und zu-
sätzlich ein Adressraum von 64 Eingängen unterstützt. Das
Mengengerüst wird jedoch über die DALI Stromversorgung
(200mA) begrenzt. Der benötigte Stromverbrauch aus der DALI
– Linie ist der jeweiligen Bedienanleitung des DALI – Teilneh-
mers zu entnehmen.

Verhalten bei Netzunterbrechung:
Bei Unterbrechung der Spannungsversorgung des DALI Control-
ler-4 ist das Gerät ohne Funktion.
Die an die DALI – Linien angeschlossenen EVG's springen auf ih-
ren DALI SystemFailureLevel (Werksseitig meist 100%)
Die an die DALI – Linien angeschlossenen Eingabegeräte (Tas-
tereingang 4-fach und Kombisensor Büro) sind ohne Funktion.
Verhalten bei Netzspannungswiederkehr:
Bei Wiederkehr der Spannungsversorgung am DALI – Controller-
4 ist das Gerät erst nach ca. 10s Betriebsbereit.
Die an die DALI – Linien angeschlossenen EVG's springen auf Ih-
ren Wert vor der Netzunterbrechung.
Vorortbedienung:
Es kann immer nur jeweils eine Linie oder ein Relais bedient
werden. Die Vorortbedienung ist unabhängig von der Konfigu-
ration des Gerätes zu jeder Zeit möglich. Zur Vorortbedienung
sind die Select – Taste (A12) und die ON/OFF/DIMM – Auswahl
– Taste (A11) nötig. Bei Druck auf die Select – Taste wird die
Vorortbedienung gestartet. Werden die Tasten (A11 und A12)
für 30s nicht betätigt fällt das Gerät in seinen ursprünglichen
Zustand zurück.
Auswahl:
Die Auswahl welche Linie oder welches Relais bedient werden
soll erfolgt mit der Select – Taste (A12). Mit der Select – Taste
(A12) wird bei jedem Druck zur nächsten Linie / zum nächsten
Relais gesprungen. Die ausgewählte Linie (grüne LED ist EIN)
oder das ausgewählte Relais (gelbe LED blinkt) wird durch die
jeweilige LED angezeigt.
Bedienung:
Die ausgewählte Linie bzw. das ausgewählte Relais kann mittels
der ON/OFF/DIM – Auswahl – Taste (A11) bedient werden.
Der Status (EIN/AUS) der Linien wird nicht angezeigt.
Der Status der Relais wird angezeigt. (siehe auch Lage und
Funktion der Anzeige- und Bedienelemente)

Product and functional description
General:
The DALI Controller-4 is the central element of a light control
system. It was designed for controlling electronic control gear
which supports the DALI protocol according to IEC 62386. The
device can operate up to 4 DALI lines of 64 ECGs each. The volt-
age supply is integrated into the device for the 4 DALI lines.
The DALI Controller-4 processes input module signals (DALI pus-
h button interface 4-fold, DALI Multisensor office), which are
connected to the DALI line.
With the DALI Controller-4's integrated functions such as scene
control, sequence control for scenes, constant light control and
timer control, the device is ideal for light control systems in
building automation.
Configuration:
Flexcon configuration software is used to configure the device.

The PC and DALI Controller-4 communicate via a USB cable con-
nection (on the Controller Type B!)
Update and read-out of the firmware in the DALI Controller-
4:
This procedure can be carried out with or without line voltage.
Without USB connection to the PC (SW Flexcon)
line voltage: Offline LED lights up
With USB connection to the PC (SW Flexcon)
line voltage:
A Firmware update can be made to the DALI Controller-4, or the
current firmware version can be read out of the DALI Controller-
4 using the Flexcon software.

The PC and DALI Controller-4 communicate via a USB cable con-
nection. (on Controller Type B!)
Scope:
The DALI Controller-4 supports 4 DALI lines.
Within each line, an address space of 64 ECGs and an additional
address space of von 64 inputs is supported. The scope is how-
ever limited by the DALI power supply (200mA). Please refer to
the respective operating instructions of devices connected to
the DALI line in order to calculate the aggregate power supply
required.

Device behavior when the power supply is interrupted:
When the power supply to the DALI Controller-4 is interrupted,
the device ceases to function.
ECGs which are connected to the DALI lines switch to their sys-
tem failure level (usually 100% at the factory).
Input devices which are connected to the DALI line (pushbutton
interface 4-fold and Multisensor office) cease to function.
Device behavior when the power supply is restored:
When the power supply to the DALI Controller-4 has been re-
stored, the device is ready for operation after a time period of
approx. 10 seconds.
ECGs connected to the DALI lines switch to the values present at
the time of power interruption.
On-site operation:
Only one relay can be operated at a time. On-site operation is
possible at all times, irrespective of how the device has been
configured. For on-site operation, the Select button (A12) and
the ON/OFF/DIMM – Select button (A11) are required. To start
on-site operation, press the Select button. When a period of 30
seconds elapses without the buttons (A11 and A12) having
been pressed, the device returns to its original state.
Selection:
To select a line or a relay which is to be operated, press the Se-
lect button (A12). Each time the Select button (A12) is pressed,
the device switches to the next line or relay. The selected line
(green LED is ON) or relay (yellow LED flashes) is displayed via
its corresponding LED.
Operation:
The selected line or relay can be operated using the
ON/OFF/DIM – Select button (A11).
The status (ON/OFF) of the lines is not displayed.
