Operation of DVD±R and DVD±RW Disks
1. Insert a recorded DVD±RW or DVD±R disc into the recorder. After
a short time the titles on the DVD are displayed.
2. With Cursor buttons /
you wish to see.
3. Press the EDIT button (Fig. 3/14) to reach the "Edit Mode" menu.
In this menu you can make the following entries:
(1) The title currently being played back is shown, or you can
select a title by pressing the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11) and
entering the desired title with the Numerical buttons (Fig.
3/18).
(2) The chapter currently being played back is displayed, or you
can select a chapter by pressing the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11)
and entering the desired chapter with the Numerical buttons
(Fig. 3/18).
(3) The current playback mode is shown, or you can use the SE-
LECT button (Fig. 3/11) and Cursor buttons
32) to select another playback mode.
(4) You can insert or delete chapter markers. For more information
please see the section on "Chapter Markers".
(5) You can show or hide the chapter in the playback mode.
(6) You can set the picture currently displayed as the title index
picture. For more information please see the "Index Picture"
section.
(7) You can divide the title currently displayed.
(8) The playback time that has passed is displayed.
4. You can exit from the menu by pressing the EDIT button (Fig. 3/14).
Chapter marker
Under the menu item „Chapter Markers" you can select the following
submenus:
„Insert Marker": Press the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11) in order to
insert a chapter marker.
"Delete Marker": Press the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11) in order to
delete the chapter marker in the chapter currently displayed.
"Delete All Markers": Press the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11) to dele-
te all chapter markers.
NOTE:
Under the menu item „Chapter"(2) you can see the number of mar-
kers and select a chapter.
Hiding or Displaying Chapters
With the menu items
"Hide chapter": you can press the SELECT button (Fig. 3/11) to
hide the chapter currently being shown.
