DUS-01 Pro USB/XLR microphone

Indented use
The microphone is intended to convert acoustic signals (sound waves) into electrical
signals. It is suitable for natural recording of voiced and other critical sound sources.
The USB connector may only be connected to suitable USB ports of computers. The
XLR connector may only be connected to suitable microphone inputs of audio devices.
Any use other than as described above is not permitted and can damage the product.
In addition, it can lead to hazards such as short-circuit, fire, etc.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. If you
pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions
as well.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

Safety instructions
F irst, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain
important information about proper operation of the device.
D amage due to failure to follow these operating instructions will void the
warranty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages
caused by the improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions!
The warranty will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to
the product are not permitted.
• When connecting the microphone, pay attention to the safety instructions
of the device to which it is to be connected.
• Never point the microphone at the sound exit of loudspeakers, since this
may lead to acoustic feedback, which could damage the loudspeakers
and the connected computer or audio device.
• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations, drip-
ping water or water spray.
• This product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
• Don't leave packaging material lying around carelessly; it may become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impact, blows, or ac-
cidental drops, even from a low height.
• Also observe any further safety instructions in the individual chapters of
these operating instructions.
• If you are unsure how to connect the product properly, or should you
have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical service or consult a professional.
Commissioning
USB operation
• Turn down the volume of the computer.
• Connect the mini USB connector of the USB cable with the USB connection of the
microphone.
• Remove the protective cap of the USB connector type A and connect it to a free USB
port on your computer.
• Wait until your operating system has recognised and installed the new hardware.
This takes place automatically.
• If necessary, set up the product as audio source device in your computer.
• Run the appropriate software for sound recordings.
• Adjust the volume of the computer that has the microphone connected to it.
• Unplug the product after use.
XLR operation
T o avoid distortion or mismatching, which could damage the microphone or
the connected audio device, the microphone may be connected only to suit-
able microphone inputs. Please refer to the connection data contained in the
"Technical data" section.
T o connect the microphone, only use a suitable shielded microphone cable.
Use of other cables may lead to interference.
• Switch off the audio device to which the microphone is to be connected.
• Connect the microphone input of your device to the XLR connector on the micro-
phone.
• Switch on your audio device.
• Please adapt the sensitivity of your audio device by using the corresponding input
level control for the microphone (see the instructions for the audio device).
Maintenance and cleaning
The microphone is maintenance-free.
Please use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions; this may lead to dam-
ages to the surface of the casing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and must not be disposed of in
the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
