The motors are strong enough, but the back wheels and the ride height are too small. Trying to
mount higher pavement edges anyway will create stability problems and can also cause damage.
This damage is not covered by the guarantee.
Nowadays, more and more pavements have special lower sections at junctions for driving on and off
the pavement.
You can confidently drive on or off these lower sections with your MINOS POWER! If you are in a
situation where the pavement has not been modified (yet), it is better to take a detour or ask for
help. If you have no alternative, then at least find the lowest point!
Increase speed a little until you feel the front wheels start to mount the pavement.
If this doesn't work, then drive backwards in a straight line and look for another place where it can
be done!
To prevent bumps, you must drive on and off pavements at very low speed. Look first to make sure
it is safe to cross the road!

11. PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS

Driving features
Using a temporarily connected microprocessor, the following functions on the MINOS POWER can
be programmed independently and continuously:
1. Maximum speed forwards
2. Maximum speed backwards
3. Maximum speed in turns
4. Acceleration forwards and backwards
5. Deceleration forwards and backwards
6. Acceleration in turns
7. Deceleration in turns
Programming automatic cut-off
An automatic cut-off can be programmed for the MINOS POWER, which is activated if the wheel-
chair has not been driven for a predefined period of time. The time period can be set to between 1
and 10 minutes, in increments of 1 minute.
Your dealer can programme these options by temporarily connecting a microprocessor.
12. BATTERÍES
The batteries for the MINOS POWER were speciallydeveloped for this use.

themwith the type of battery used in cars! The batteries ofthe MINOS POWER provide the power
supply for themotors for driving and are therefore have a heavy loadduring daily use. They can only
function if they arecontinuously in an "energetic condition" and are char-ged frequently.
For maximum battery life, it is very important not to disconnect the batteries from the charger until
the charging cycle is completely over. If this is not done, the battery life will be drastically reduced.
The battery must never fall below 20%-30% of its capacity (the red indicator LEDs on the control).
