Establishing an optimum viewing distance

The optimum viewing distance is given in the example for a 42" TV set. This result in
the following "Distances to the hearing position":

If a "Metz LCD Rack Sound System" is used, then the preferred position for the sound
system is in the top compartment.
If your seating position is at an angle to the sound system, the distances involved
should be measured with a tape measure and rounded up or down before being
entered in the TV menu accordingly.
