Dualband radio receiver for wireless extension of a traditional alarm system. It needs 12V DC supplied by a control panel
and can work with all Silentron wireless detectors, giving out 4 alarm relays output, a tamper relay output and a
supervision relay output.
The device allows a wireless protection on access, doors and windows by means of opening/shock detectors SENSOR
TOP and SENSOR SLIM, infrared barrier LASERBEAM or waterproof SILENT PIR detector, for outdoor protection. R-
Evolution 4 can store up to 32 self-programming detectors divided on 4 alarm zones. Test and alarm of each zone are
signalled by 4 red leds.
.
Power supply: 10-14 V CC
Input - output : look at logic board picture
K
ON-OFF input from control panel - programmableby dip-switch 3
A-B-C-D:
free NC alarm output (0,1A max)
TAMPER
free NC anti-tamper alarm output (0,1A max) - look at note 1
RF
free NC antis canner & supervision alarm output (0,1A max) - look at note 2
Radio receiver: superherodyne receiver - sensitivity -105dbm - frequency about 400 MHz and 850 MHz - frequency and
features according to the Rules - approx. indication for security reasons
Programmable wireless detectors: 1 to 32 self-programming detectors on 4 alarm zones
Stock and operating temperature 0°C +55°C
Dimensions: 64x125x45h mm
Note 1: alarm due to opening of the R-Evolution box and to opening of boxes of all wireless detectors programmed.
Note 2: supervision alarm due to absence of radio signal from one or more wireless detectors during 8 hours.
Antiscanner alarm due to saturation of both receivers during one minute permanently. Position OFF of Dip-switch 1 and
2 blocks the functions.
Note 3: by connecting K terminal we have the alarm memory function on each led. Automatically reset when the device
is switched ON. Program the input polarity (dip-switch 3) according with panel output: ON for positive output, OFF for
negative. If M terminal is not connected the "memory led" function will be stopped, but R-Evolutions will work normally.
1)
Supply R-Evolution and press P1 pushbutton: in this mode we reset all radio codes stored in the device: led A will
blink.
Press S2 to shift the zone A Ù B Ù C Ù D. Select the proper zone: the led will blink.
2)
3)
Insert battery into the first wireless detector: the led will light 5 seconds and buzzer will sound, confirming the right
programming.
4)
Insert battery into the second wireless detector and so on. When necessary, change the zone.
You can program the wireless detectors also after fixing R-Evolution to a wall, because the zone shifting is automatic
after 16 seconds without transmissions. Program the detectors on A zone and wait for automatic shifting on B zone and
so on.
Reset of programmed detectors: press S1 just one second to obtain the "programming status" - select the zone to
reset by pressing S2 and press S1 just 10 seconds. When led switches off for 5 sec. and buzzer sounds, all detectors on
the zone are cancelled.
To add detectors press S1 just one second to obtain the "programming status" , select the zone and insert battery into
the detector.
RELAY OUTPUT: all free contacts are NC and temporary open in case of alarm. The 5418 Sensor Silenya and 5015-16-
17 Sensor Top can be installed with "opening and closing door" function. In this case, if the door remains open, the
relay output will be open all the time.
Low battery of wireless detectors: a warning radio signal starts when the battery is low and R-Evolution sounds 5
BEEP and the led of the zone blinks. Moreover, the buzzer sounds at each arming-disarming of the system. Please
change the battery a.s.a.p. in order to avoid a supervision alarm.
Leds indications:
temporary lighting = alarm - TEST condition when dip-switch 4 is ON
permanent lighting = alarm memory
permanent blinking = low battery of a wireless detector
