EN - Fitting instructions
Use the drawing and follow the instructions in correct order.
Sometimes and if it is necessary the Linnepe tow bar LAB 400 will be delivered with fitting plates. In
this case please fit at first these plates on the chassis following the enclosed instructions.
1.
Fitting the ball bar (2)
Use the screws M10x80 ((6) and nuts M10 (9). Between angles (3) and ball bar (2) fit the half-shells
(14).

Fit now lax the unit with the angles (3), plug holder (12) and plate (4) with the screws (7)
(M10x90) to the downward cranked cross member (1).

Fitting the cross member (1)
Fit now the girder (1) and plates (5) lax to the chassis or fitting plates (if delivered) with the screws (8)
(M12x40) and nuts (10). The plates welded on the girder (1) are furnished with several drills. Choose
2 in distance with 145mm in order to get the right position like shown in the enclosed drawing EC
94/20 picture page 4.
Prove now the distance between the middle of the ball and the floor at fully loaded vehicle. It must
be 350mm at least. If it is less remove the whole unit and the angle unit. Turn the girder 180° and
refit the angle unit. Refit the girder in upward cranked position.
4.
Fixing the screws with correct torque
Fix the following screws in correct order and torque:
screws (6):
85 Nm
screws (7):
55 Nm
screws (8):
85 Nm
5.
Install a usual plug box set and prove its function.
6.
Fix the self-adhesive type plate in visible manner onto the girder.
