Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist zum Einbau in einen Computer mit PCI-Express-Steckplatz vorgesehen und stellt dort eine
zusätzliche Schnittstelle (Parallelport) zur Verfügung.
Dieses Produkt erfüllt die gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen. Alle enthaltenen
Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle Rechte

Einbau
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau besitzen, so lassen Sie den Einbau von
einer FACHKRAFT oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt durchführen!
Durch unsachgemäßen Einbau wird sowohl die Steckkarte als auch Ihr Computer und
alle angeschlossenen Geräte beschädigt.
Vorsicht, Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie den Computer, in den die Steckkarte eingebaut werden soll und alle ange-
schlossenen Geräte aus und trennen Sie alle Geräte von der Netzspannung, ziehen Sie
den Netzstecker! Das Ausschalten über den Ein-/Ausschalter genügt nicht!
• Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers und nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel vorsichtig ab.
• Suchen Sie einen freien PCI-Express-Steckplatz, entfernen Sie das zugehörige Slotblech und stecken Sie
die Steckkarte vollständig in den Steckplatz ein. Schrauben Sie die Steckkarte fest.
Um die Steckkarte in einem flachen Computergehäuse einzubauen, liegt ein Low-Profile-Slotblech bei.
Entfernen Sie das lange Slotblech von der Steckkarte und montieren Sie danach das Low-Profile-Slotblech
an der Steckkarte.
• Verschließen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers.
• Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer und Monitor wieder mit der Netzspannung und schalten Sie alle Geräte ein.
• Startet Ihr Computer nicht korrekt, so schalten Sie ihn sofort wieder aus und kontrollieren Sie sämtliche
Einstellungen und Kabelverbindungen.
Vor dem erneuten Öffnen des Computers ist dieser wieder von der Netzspannung zu trennen,
siehe oben!
Treiberinstallation
Windows erkennt nach dem Start neue Hardware. Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende
Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein.
Zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung dieser Bedienungsanleitung war der erforderliche Treiber im Verzeichnis
„Moschip \ MCS9901" zu finden (und dort im jeweiligen Unterverzeichnis für das von Ihnen verwendete
Betriebssystem, z.B. Windows Vista).
Danach ist ggf. ein Neustart erforderlich, bevor der Parallelport einwandfrei funktionieren.
Tipps und Hinweise
• Schließen Sie z.B. einen Drucker nur dann an der Steckkarte an, wenn der Computer und das anzuschlie-
ßende Gerät ausgeschaltet ist. Andernfalls kann es in Einzelfällen dazu kommen, dass sowohl die
Steckkarte als auch das anzuschließende Gerät beschädigt wird!
• Die Schnittstellenbezeichnung (z.B. LPT2) wird von Windows automatisch vergeben.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen
Bestimmungen.

additional interfaces (parallel port).

Features

• Due to the low profile slot bracket the product can also be used for special flat PC housings
Installation
• Open your computer's housing and carefully remove the cover.
• Locate a free PCI Express slot, remove the corresponding slot cover and insert the card into the slot. Screw
the plug-in card firmly in place.
To install the plug-in card in a flat computer housing, a low-profile slot bracket is provided. Remove the long
slot bracket from the plug-in card and then mount the low-profile slot bracket on the plug-in card.
• Replace the computer housing.
• Reconnect your computer and monitor with the mains voltage and switch on all devices.
• If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off again immediately and check all the settings and cable
connections.
Driver Installation
After booting, Windows recognises new hardware. Place the CD provided into an appropriate drive on your
computer.
At the time of creation of this manual the required driver could be found in the folder „Moschip\MCS9901" (in
the respective operating system folder, such as e.g. Windows Vista).
A re-start might be necessary before the card works faultlessly.
Tips and Instructions
• Connect e. g. a printer only to the plug-in card when the computer and the device to be connected are
switched off. Otherwise, in individual cases, this may lead to damage to both the plug-in card and the device
to be connected!
• The interface name (e.g. LPT2) is automatically assigned by Windows.

If in doubt about how to install the device correctly, please contact an EXPERT or a spe-
cialist workshop and let them do the installation!
Incorrect installation can cause damage to the plug-in card and also to your computer
and all connected devices.
Caution, lethal hazard!
Switch off the computer in which the plug-in card is to be installed, and all connected
devices, and disconnect all devices from the mains voltage, remove the plug from the
mains! Just turning off at the on/off switch is not enough!
Before opening the PC again, disconnect the PC from the mains voltage, see above!
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in keeping with the relevant statutory reg-
ulations.
