1. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt eignet sich zum Einbau in zwei Steckplätze eines Computergehäuse und stellt dort
zwei serielle DB9-Anschlüsse (kompatibel mit SPP, PS2, EPP und ECP) und einen parallelen
DB25-Anschluss (kompatibel mit 16C550) mit 16 Byte FIFO zur Verfügung.
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder
Verändern des Produktes nicht gestattet. Eine andere Verwendung als oben beschrieben ist nicht
erlaubt und kann zur Beschädigung des Produkts führen. Darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren,
wie z. B. Kurzschluss, Brand, Stromschlag usw. verbunden. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung
genau durch und bewahren Sie diese für späteres Nachschlagen auf.
Das Produkt entspricht den geltenden nationalen und europäischen Richtlinien. Alle enthaltenen
Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle

4. Einbau
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau besitzen, so lassen Sie den
Einbau von einer FACHKRAFT oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt
durchführen!
Durch unsachgemäßen Einbau werden sowohl das Produkt, als auch Ihr
Computer und alle angeschlossenen Geräte beschädigt.
Vorsicht, Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie den Computer, in den das Produkt eingebaut werden soll
und alle angeschlossenen Geräte aus und trennen Sie alle Geräte von der
Netzspannung, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker! Das Ausschalten über den Ein-/
Ausschalter genügt nicht!
1. Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers und nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel vorsichtig ab.
2. Entfernen Sie ein Slotblech und stecken Sie die PCI-Karte in einen freien PCI-Steckplatz.
Schrauben Sie die Karte fest. Kontrollieren Sie, ob die Steckkarte richtig im Steckplatz sitzt.
3. Entfernen Sie ein weiteres Slotblech und setzen Sie das Slotblech des DB25-Kabels in den freien
Steckplatz ein.
4. Verbinden Sie das DB25-Kabel mit dem 26-poligen Anschluss auf der PCI-Karte. Achten Sie
darauf, dass der pinkfarbene Streifen auf dem Kabel nach links in Richtung des Slotblechs
der PCI-Karte zeigt.
5. Sichern Sie gegebenenfalls das Kabel.
6. Verschließen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers.
7. Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer und Monitor mit der Netzspannung und schalten Sie alle
Geräte ein.
8. Startet Ihr Computer nicht korrekt, so schalten Sie Ihn sofort wieder aus und kontrollieren Sie
sämtliche Einstellungen und Kabelverbindungen.
5. Treiberinstallation
Die nötigen Hinweise zur Treiberinstallation für alle unterstützten Betriebssysteme finden Sie auf
der mitgelieferten CD-ROM.

Nach erfolgreicher Installation ist unter Umständen ein Neustart erforderlich, bevor
die Steckkarte einwandfrei funktioniert.
6. Entsorgung
Im Interesse unserer Umwelt und um die verwendeten Rohstoffe möglichst vollständig
zu recyclen, ist der Verbraucher aufgefordert, gebrauchte und defekte Geräte zu den
öffentlichen Sammelstellen für Elektroschrott zu bringen.
Das Zeichen der durchgestrichenen Mülltonne mit Rädern bedeutet, dass dieses
Produkt an einer Sammelstelle für Elektronikschrott abgegeben werden muss.

1. Intended use
The product is designed for installation in two PC case slots. It thus provides two serial DB9 ports
(compatible with SPP, PS2, EPP and ECP) and a parallel DB25 port (compatible with 16C550)
at 16 Byte FIFO.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can
damage the product and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc.
Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for further reference.

4. Installation
When in doubt about how to install the device correctly, please contact an
EXPERT or a specialist workshop and let them carry out the installation.
In case of improper installation, the product as well as your computer and all
connected devices will be damaged.
Lethal Danger!
Switch off the computer in which the product is to be installed and all connected
devices and separate all devices from the mains voltage. Unplug the mains
plug! To switch the device off via the ON/OFF switch is not enough!
1. Open the housing of your computer and carefully take off the lid of the housing.
2. Remove a slot plate and insert the RS232 card in a free PCI slot. Screw the card firmly in
place. Check whether the plug-in card sits properly in the slot.
3. Remove one more slot bracket and insert the DB25 cable's slot bracket into the free slot.
4. Connect the DB25 cable with the 26-pin PCI card connector. Make sure that the pink stripe on
the cable points to the left in the direction of the PCI card slot bracket.
5. Secure the cable if required.
6. Close the computer case.
7. Connect your computer and monitor with the mains voltage und switch on all devices.
8. If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all settings and
cable connections.
5. Driver installation
The instructions required for driver installation for all supported operating systems can be found
on the included CD-ROM.
After successful installation a restart may be required for the plug-in card to function
properly.

6. Disposal
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human
health and utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return
