Problem
The power-on light does not
go on and the humidifier does
not work.
The power-on light is on, the
fan works but no mist comes
out of the mist outlet.
The humidifier produces
an unpleasant smell.
Descaling the humidifier
1 Disconnect the humidifier from the mains and set the on/off knob to
'off'.
 Fill the water basin with water and white vinegar (4% acetic acid).
Leave the water and vinegar in the water basin for at least 4 hours
(preferably overnight).
 Empty the water basin and remove the scale with a soft cloth.
 Put some white vinegar (4% acetic acid) on the oscillator and then
wipe away the vinegar with a moist cloth.
5 Rinse all parts with clean water.
Environment
- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.

Possible cause
The humidifier is not
(properly) connected to the
mains.
The water tank is empty or the
water level is too low.
The humidifier is new.

Solution
Put the plug (properly) in the wall
socket and switch on the humidifier.
Fill the water tank with fresh water.
Remove the cap of the water tank
and leave the tank open in a cold
place for at least 12 hours.
