General
Hand pumps models HP 500W and HP 500W-SSV offer
an especially low-cost solution of equipping a machine
with a central lubrication pump.
In the first place, the pumps are applied in cases where no
automatic or continuous lubricant supply is required, but
where a simple lubrication process by a central lubrication
pump is desired.
Due to the high operating pressure, progressive plunger
metering devices SSV can be installed downstream of
each pump model. Highly differing numbers of outlets
allow the pump/system to be adapted to a wide range of
machinery.

Safety Instructions
•
All the components of the connected centralized
lubrication system must be designed for maximum
system pressure.
•
Repairs may only be carried out by qualified, skilled
personnel using only original spare parts.
•
Refill the pump reservoir in time with clean lubricant.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages due to an
inadequate handling.
Operation
When the pump handle is pushed away from the pump,
the delivery piston sucks in lubricant from the reservoir.
A full stroke of handle equals the maximum lubricant
volume of 1.5 cm³.
If the handle is returned to its original position, the pump
dispenses the lubricant which was sucked in during the
forward stroke to the connected progressive plunger
metering device or to the connected lubrication points.
The lubricant dispensed by the pump is evenly distributed
by the SSV metering device in accordance with the
number of outlets.
A spring on the handle bearing retains the handle in its
vertical original position.

*Since it is only the case with progressive metering device
SSV6 that one pump stroke is a little bit more than a full
cycle, in the case of the larger metering devices (SSV 8,
10, 12) the pump must be actuated several times if all
connected lubrication points shall be services at the same
time.
The outlet tube fittings have to be ordered separately.
