100 V/ Line-Signal-Übertrager
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit
Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungstech-
nik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der Instal-
lation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie für ein
späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der Übertrager PATL-100 / XC (100 V Public Address to
Line) ist speziell für die Umsetzung eines 100-V-Audio-
signals in ein Line-Pegel-Signal entwickelt worden.
Damit ist es möglich, an jeder Stelle der 100-V-Leitung
einen Abgriff für einen zusätzlichen NF-Verstärker mit
Line-Eingang zu erhalten. Der PATL-100 / XC arbeitet
passiv, d. h. er benötigt keine Betriebsspannung.
Durch die Kombination verschiedener Umsteck-
möglichkeiten im Innern des Gerätes und durch ein
von außen zugängliches Trimmpotentiometer kann der
Line-Ausgangspegel an das nachfolgende Gerät opti-
mal angepasst werden.
2 Sicherheitshinweise
Das Gerät entspricht allen relevanten Richt linien der EU
und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
•
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich.
Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie
vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Der zulässige Einsatz-
temperaturbereich beträgt 0 – 40 °C.
•
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-
ches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
•

with sufficient knowledge of 100 V technology
for PA applications. Please read the instructions
carefully prior to installation and keep them for
later reference.
1 Applications
The transformer PATL-100 / XC (100 V Public Address
to Line) has been specially designed for transforming
a 100 V audio signal into a line level signal. Thus, it is
possible to insert an additional AF amplifier with line
input at any position of the 100 V line. PATL-100 / XC
operates in a passive mode, i. e. it does not require any
operating voltage.
Due to various combination options of jumper
arrangements inside the transformer and a trimming
potentiometer accessible from the outside, the line out-
put level can be ideally matched to the subsequent unit.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the EU
and is therefore marked with .
•
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water, splash water and high air
humidity. The admissible ambient temperature
range is 0 – 40 °C.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
•

schlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann
keine Garantie für das Gerät und keine Haftung für
dadurch resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden
übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb ge-
nommen werden, entsorgen Sie es gemäß
den örtlichen Vorschriften.
3 Ausgangsspannung anpassen
Werksseitig ist die Steckkombination „A" und „2" für
eine effektive Ausgangsspannung von 1,6 V bei einer
Eingangsspannung von 100 V eingestellt. Wird ein
anderer Pegel benötigt, diesen durch Umstecken der
Brücken im Gerät einstellen. Diese Modifikation darf
nur bei nicht angeschlossenem Gerät erfolgen! In
der unten stehenden Tabelle sind die Steckmöglichkei-
ten angegeben.
Zur Feineinstellung kann der Ausgangspegel mit
dem Trimmpotentiometer links neben der Cinch-
Buchse reduziert werden. Die Ausgangsspannung
ist jedoch immer von der Eingangsspannung abhän-
gig, d. h. sie verändert sich, wenn die Lautstärke am
ELA-Verstärker geändert wird.
4 Anschlüsse
WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefährli-
che Spannung bis 100 V an der An-
schlussklemme an.

personal erfolgen.

If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitely, dispose of the unit in accordance
with local regulations.
3 Matching the Output Voltage
The combination "A" and "2" of the jump ers for an
effective output voltage of 1.6 V at an input voltage
of 100 V is preset in the factory. If a different level is
re quired, adjust this level by rearranging the jumpers
in the unit. For this modification, the unit must
be discon nected! The table below lists the possible
options.
For fine adjustment, it is possible to reduce the
output level with the trimming potentiometer on the
left of the RCA jack. However, the output voltage
always de pends on the input voltage, i. e. it will change
with the volume adjusted on the PA amplifier.
4 Connections

contact with dangerous voltage of up

1) Vor der Installation des PATL-100 / XC die ELA-An-
lage komplett ausschalten, damit die 100-V-Laut-
sprecherleitung des ELA-Verstärkers spannungsfrei
ist!
2) Als Signaleingang dient die 2-polige Schraub-
klemme. Diese mit der 100-V-ELA-Leitung verbin-
den. Die Klemme lässt sich zur besseren Hand-
habung aus ihrer Steckverbindung vom Gerät
abziehen und nach dem Anschluss anschließend
wieder aufstecken.
3) Den Line-Eingang des anzuschließenden Gerätes
mit dem XLR- oder dem Cinch-Anschluss des Über-
tragers verbinden. Der XLR-Einbaustecker des PATL-
100 / XC ist wie folgt belegt:

1) Prior to installing PATL-100 / XC, completely switch
off the PA system so that the 100 V speaker cable of
the PA amplifier will not carry any voltage!
2) The 2-pole screw terminal is used as a signal input.
Connect this terminal to the 100 V PA line. To
make handling easier, remove the terminal from its
plug-in connection on the unit and replace it after
connection.
3) Connect the line input of the unit to be connected
to the XLR or RCA connector of the transformer.
The configuration of the XLR chassis connector of
PATL-100 / XC is as follows:
