Operation instruction sandblaster ST-555
product codes: 200 555 ...

Operation

Operate the sandblaster only within the pressure, flow rate and temperature ranges indicated.
Before starting work, check the values on the high-pressure generator and adjust these if necessary.
Insert the double suction tube into the dry blasting agent.
Activate the spray gun trigger to dispense a jet of water-blasting agent from the sandblasting nozzle.
When switching the sandblaster on or off, make sure that the outlet is facing down.
Start cleaning from a maximum distance, then reduce the distance during cleaning as required.
Adjust the air intake adjustment to optimally set the intake quantity of blasting agent.
Try different grain sizes of the blasting agent to achieve the best cleaning effect.

Troubleshooting

If there is no intake of blasting agent during operation, please take the following steps:
Check that the double suction tube is immersed in the blasting agent.
Check that the suction hose is not kinked, thereby preventing the intake of sand.
Check the grain size of the blasting agent.
Check if there is water in the blasting agent hose and blow out the hose if necessary.
Check that the blasting agent is not wet, damp or contaminated.
Check if the sandblasting nozzle, housing, blasting agent hose or double suction tube are blocked, clear blockage if necessary.
Check if the HP nozzles are blocked, remove blockage if necessary or replace faulty HP nozzle.
Transportation and storage
Please ensure that the sandblaster is cleaned and protected from contamination during transportation and storage.
Protect the fabric hose from kinking.
Cleaning
Clean the equipment prior to longer work breaks or periods of inactivity. Clean the inside of the sandblast injector ST-555, the jet
hose and double suction tube to remove any residual blasting agents. If necessary, clean the parts with compressed air.
Wipe down the outside of the sandblast injector using a clean and dry cloth.

Maintenance

Assembly, maintenance and repair work may only be carried out by persons trained in maintenance and repair work on
wet jet systems and high-pressure systems. Use only spare parts approved by Suttner GmbH. Only use components
(hoses, connectors, etc.) approved for the respective pressure and temperature range.
Check daily the wearing parts such as the blasting agent nozzles, HP nozzles, sandblaster seat, blasting agent hose, double
suction tube and replace them as required to prevent any loss of cleaning power.
Even where there are no visible signs of damage, we recommend that you replace the PVC fabric hose every year.
Disposal
Please dispose of old equipment in an environmentally friendly manner.
Old equipment contains valuable recyclable materials which should be salvaged for recycling. Please therefore dispose
of old equipment at suitable collection points.
Information regarding Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU
