Operation instruction sandblaster ST-555
product codes: 200 555 ...

Intended use

The sandblaster is intended for dispensing a mixture of pressurised fluids and blasting agents using a high-pressure washer.
All safety regulations and rules for high-pressure washers apply, e.g. DIN EN 60335-79-2 and DIN EN 1829-1. The sandblaster
must only be used with Group II fluids as per 2014/68/EU, or with water. The sandblaster must only be used with blasting agents
which are completely harmless to health, otherwise the instructions for „Maximum permissible content of hazardous substrates
in blasting agents" (BGV D26 §7) must be observed.
Dispensing flammable, explosive, caustic or toxic substances is forbidden!
The sandblaster must only be used in a technically perfect condition, unmodified in any way, for the purpose intended, in the aware-
ness of safety requirements and potential hazards in compliance with these Operating Instructions. Only adults trained in handling
high-pressure washers and jet equipment may use the wet sandblaster. Please also comply with the operating instructions for
equipment and accessories connected to the sandblaster.
Assembly
Risk of injury!
Manual interference when the high-pressure generator is running can lead to serious accidents!
Switch the high-pressure generator off before carrying out assembly work on the high-pressure system.
Secure the high-pressure generator against being unintentionally switched on.
Turn the water supply off.
Ensure that system sections and lines to be opened are not under pressure.
Seal the screw connectors in accordance with your intended use with an appropriate sealant such as Teflon sealing tape or a
liquid sealant (see R+M Catalogue, Chapter 06, Adhesives and sealing materials).
When assembling the lance and hose, secure the gun on the hexagon to prevent it turning and tighten the connectors to 25Nm.
Connect the high-pressure hose from the high-pressure generator to the spray gun inlet.
Fit the hose clips onto the fabric hose for sandblasting feed.
Pull one side of the fabric hose onto the hose nozzle of the sandblaster and secure it with the hose clip.
Pull the other side of the fabric hose onto the double suction tube and secure it with the hose clip.
Fit the sandblaster to the gun outlet, making sure that the LP hose connector is facing upwards.
Insert the double suction tube into the dry and clean blasting agent.
After repair and maintenance work, check that the safety latch of the HP gun works correctly.
Modification
No modifications of any kind are to be made to the sandblaster!
Nozzle size and working loads
When selecting accessories, please remember that there must be a minimum gap of 750 mm between the gun trigger and the jet
nozzle outlet and that there must also be sufficient space for your other hand.
Suitable high-pressure nozzles are installed in the sandblaster. When selecting a nozzle, make sure that the specified recoil forces
and torque forces are not exceeded.

If the high-pressure system has been used with hot water, allow the equipment to cool
down to below 45°C due to the risk of scalding or burning before starting assembly and
maintenance work!
