5.2 | Warnings

Read these operating instructions through carefully, as they contain important
information on how to operate and use this charger. The instructions for use are
an integral part of the device and must therefore be kept safe. The charger must
only be passed on to third parties together with the instructions for use.
To avoid malfunctions, damage or health hazards, please adhere to the following
safety Instructions. If the safety instructions and the information on proper use
given in these instructions for use are deliberately or negligibly ignored, there
is a risk of hazards, e.g. short circuit, fire, explosion or electric shock. In such
cases, the manufacturer, Detlev Louis Motorrad-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH
(Switzerland: Detlev Louis AG) accepts no liability for any resultant personal
injury/material damage; the warranty will also be rendered null and void. If any
questions should arise concerning correct connection and operation which
cannot be clarified by these instructions for use, please contact our Technical
Customer Service (page: 40).

5.3 | Safety instructions

WARNING!

Risk of electric shock!

• This charger is constructed to protection class 2 and must
only be operated with a properly installed, standard domestic
AC voltage supply of 220-240 V/AC (50/60 Hz). The power
outlet (wall socket) must be near to the charger and be easily
accessible.
• This charger must not be converted or modified (amongst
other things, for reasons of both safety and official approval)
and is not intended for commercial use.
• This charger must not be touched with damp or wet hands.
• This charger is only approved for indoor operation in dry,
closed rooms.
• Always check all the cables and connections for damage
before use. Do not use the charger if you discover any
damage.
• After use, always disconnect this charger from the power
supply (wall socket) by pulling out the power plug. Never
pull on the cable!
• The charger must not be used if it or the power cable show
any visible signs of damage. Do not touch the charger if it
is still connected to the power outlet (risk of fatal injury).
