4.7 Experimental procedure

Place the large lead spheres on the outer support
beam at position 1 (see Fig. 6) and wait till the
vibration has settled down (by observing the laser
pointer). Calibrate the zero point if necessary.

Move the outer beam to position 2 and start the
measurements.
