Drilling Information Cable Glands, Breather Drain

For cable glands be sure to comply with the specified zones and limitations detailed in
the Enclosure Certificate.
During the drilling, make sure that the material does not overheat. Also ensure that no
cracks or deformation of the enclosure results. All drilling burrs must be removed from
the enclosure.
The enclosure's outer draft angles must be taken into consideration when attaching the
cable feed-through bushings.
Make sure that you have installed all cable entries properly. Follow the instructions and
specifications from the manufacturer when installing cable glands.

Drilling information

The Appendix provides detailed information about the drilling area.
You can either use holes that are drilled through or thread holes directly into the enclosure.
Metric threads should be used which are in compliance with EN / IEC 60423.
Follow the installation instructions from the manufacturer of the fitting components.
The enclosure's outer draft angles must always be taken into consideration when
attaching the cable feed-through bushings.
The IP protection level must not be compromised.
Various cable feed-throughs can be installed inside the marked drilling area.
The following table lists more detailed information.
Generally you should have a minimum gap of at least 15 mm between the
individual cable glands (the seated diameters).
You may not install cable glands in the lid.
