Important
All work on the 230 V-mains must be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Electronic transformers with the same secondary voltage
and same power should be used in order to achieve the
same brightness of the halogen lamps over the whole
adjustment range from bright to dark.
The dimmer warms up during operation, since part of the
connected load is converted to heat as dissipated energy.
The indicated nominal output applies to a dimmer installed
in a solid masonry wall. If the dimmer is installed in a wall
made of expanded concrete, wood or gypsum plaster-
board, the maximum connected load must be reduced
by 20 % (see also Fig. 4).
This corresponds to an output of 80 % = 336 W. It is always
necessary to reduce the connected load if several dimmers
are installed adjacent to or above each other or if other heat
sources can contribute to higher operating temperatures.
