Troubleshooting - RIBA R-55 Handbuch

There is an LED to indicate the status of battery charging on the right of display. When the scale is
plugged into the mains power the internal battery will be charged.
If the LED is Green:
If the LED is Red:
If the LED is Yellow: the battery is increasing the charge level.
As the battery is used it may fail to hold a full charge. If the battery life becomes unacceptable then contact
your distributor.
Note: The battery should be recharged every 3 months if the scale is not used for long time.
Error message
During the initial power-on testing it is possible the scale may show error message.
The meaning of the error messages is described below.

Note: If the error message still is shown after above ways, please recalibrate. If the problem still can
not be solved then contact your dealer for further support.

Weight display is not illuminated:

the battery has been charged.
the battery is nearly discharged
Possible causes
EPROM data lose.
The initial zero is outside the range
of the factory setting for zero.
Lack of sample weight
The low limit value is set higher
than the high limit value.
Load exceeds scale capacity.
System is busy.
Low voltage
Check if there is something on the pan or something
touches the top body when switch on the scale,
move the load and switch on again.
Place on more sample weight.
Reset the limit values.
Reduce the load on the pan.
Just wait.
Charge the battery.
Solution:
* The battery is empty.
* The balance is not switched on.
* The mains supply connection has been interrupted
(mains cable not plugged in/faulty).
* Power supply interrupted.
* Draught/air movement.
* Table/floor vibrations.
* The weighing plate is in contact with foreign matter.
* Electromagnetic fields / static charging (choose
different locations/switch off interfering device if
possible).
* The balance display is not set to zero.
* Adjustment is no longer correct.
* Great fluctuations in temperature.
* Electromagnetic fields / static charging.
